Artist Statement

I'm a theatermaker with a love for all parts of new play development, whether I'm sharing my own work or helping to realize someone else's vision as a director. I gravitate towards plays featuring magic, queer themes, and chances to depict the impossible onstage.
I'm also excited about experimental theater: devising, exploring the intersections of theater and games, working site-specifically, or even all of the above. I enjoy any opportunity to respond to the architecture of a non-(traditionally) theatrical space, or to make someone's day a little weirder.
In addition to playwriting and directing, I've explored sound and costumes, acted in LARP events, and operated a robot. My hobbies include digital illustration, playing interactive fiction games, and writing prose fiction.
